# The evidence model

> Understand what each observation proves and where its meaning ends.

Klieg preserves the source and time of observations. This distinguishes a statement about an asset from an onchain fact and makes clear what was actually confirmed.

## Three kinds of information

| Level | What it means | What it does not establish by itself |
| -------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------- |
| Post | A caller published a specific thesis at a particular time | That the caller bought the token or will be right |
| Platform observation | A platform displayed a position or market estimate | That the values were independently confirmed |
| Onchain confirmation | A particular balance, transaction, or network event was checked | Motive, ownership of every related wallet, or future profit |

Evidence is specific to a claim. A balance at a particular block confirms the number of tokens at an address at that moment. A claim of buying or selling requires the relevant confirmation; a token transfer alone is insufficient.

## Time matters

Publication time, observation time, and onchain event time can differ. A late observation does not become an early signal. Post-call outcomes are measured against a defined starting point and horizon.

**Observed** means an observation, not final confirmation. If an event is retracted or clarified, an earlier assessment can change. Read its history together with its current status.

## Linking a caller to a wallet

Klieg uses evidence connecting a source account, an approved caller identity, and a wallet address. A matching handle or avatar is insufficient. Even an established link to one address does not identify all of a person's wallets.

## Signal scoring

A score helps prioritize attention using available caller, thesis, timing, market, and activity information. The reasons matter more than a single number. A score is not a probability of profit, and evidence completeness does not establish investment quality.

## Unknown states

Insufficient evidence leaves a conclusion unverified or unknown. The absence of a confirmed purchase does not prove there was no purchase. Zero detected sales does not prove the caller sold nothing.
