# Signals and theses

> Understand why a signal appeared and how its events unfolded.

A **thesis** is a caller's statement about a particular token. A **signal** presents the available context around it: who posted, when, what is known about the position, and what happened next.

When several callers discuss one token, their theses remain separate. Token aggregation should not hide differences in reasoning or publication time.

## What to inspect first

| Field                    | How to interpret it                                                        |

| Call time                | When the thesis appeared; compare with observation and wallet-action times |
| Position                 | A platform observation or independent confirmation: check the label        |
| Score and reasons        | Reasons for prioritizing the signal, not a probability of profit           |
| Current and peak outcome | Available post-call measurements, with their provenance                    |
| Lifecycle                | Recorded updates, reductions, and exits                                    |

## Call, buy, sell, and call+buy

* **Call**: a token-related post exists.
* **Buy**: an independently confirmed purchase by a linked wallet exists.
* **Sell**: an independently confirmed sale exists.
* **Call+buy**: a post and confirmed purchase are matched by caller, token, and an allowed time window.

## Signal Dossier

Open the Signal Dossier to inspect the sequence: original thesis, observed opening position, independent check, fixed-horizon outcomes, and subsequent changes. A drop in a displayed position may trigger an investigation; confirmation of a sale requires the relevant verified event.

## Filters and pause

Signals filters operate on the loaded set of signals. They are not a search over the entire archive. Pausing freezes display order while updates continue arriving; pending changes can be applied after you inspect the list.
