Demo, Standard V2, and Gold are separate deployments without upgradeable proxies. Immutable code does not mean there is no administration: roles defined in the code can change particular parameters.

Administrative powers

Price, sale, pause, and payment-recipient roles are separate from holding a pass. Purchasing an NFT does not grant these powers.

Administrative roles

The default administrator controls grants of the roles defined by the contract. Default-admin transfer is a two-step process with a 2-day delay. Operational roles exist separately: transferring the default administrator does not automatically transfer them. Gold has a separate RECOVERY_ROLE. It proposes a new address; after 48 hours, that address must accept the pass within 7 days. Pausing sales does not block recovery.

What pause means

A pause blocks purchases and Standard renewals. It does not extend paid time or stop it counting down. Closing sales also does not cancel existing access entitlements. Standard nevertheless includes a separate administrative revocation power. A closed sale and a revoked holder entitlement are different states.

The NFT and access entitlement

All three passes are non-transferable. Ordinary NFT transfers and transfer approvals are disabled. Demo and Standard expiry is checked separately from NFT ownership. An image or a token in your wallet is not a substitute for checking current access. Describing contract functions does not mean every action is exposed in the user interface.
